We saw Wonder Woman on Friday morning and we can't stop talking about it.

What We're Saying
Heidi: It’s one of those movies that really stays with you after you see it. Such a strong woman in so many ways – there’s the obvious physical strength but she has this kindness, wisdom, and incredible sense of self about her that really impressed me. I almost see her character as a compilation of all of the strong women I’ve known throughout my life. Such a meaningful film.
Kate: I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this movie. Granted, there were the cliche elements of the superhero movie that make them so deliciously wonderful and satisfying to watch (clever plays on anachronistic situations, beautiful actors, and lots of great stunts) but the part of the movie that hit me like the intensity of an Amazon was its overarching message. This is not simply a movie about a brilliant and beautiful demigod with superhuman strength and skill—it harnessed the best things about what strength truly is, and how violence and war is nothing compared to the one thing that can stop it. Maybe it takes a superhero for us to see it, but we don’t need one to defeat evil—we simply need to recognize our own power to transcend it.
Jess: I might be biased because I'm a fan of superhero movies, but I knew I would love seeing Wonder Woman in action. What I wasn't expecting was to feel so motivated after leaving the theater. I was ready to drink a protein shake and find a Crossfit gym. It was great to see a female character that was strong, confident, and ready to walk into a terrifying situation without hesitation. That's a role model I can get behind.
What They're Saying
We weren't the only people hitting the theater to watch Wonder Woman save the world. The movie brought in over $100 million on its opening weekend, according to comScore. Unsurprisingly, the female-led and directed superhero film has been a hot topic. Here's what people have been saying. (Click the links to read the full articles.)
